Senior Product Designer at Google Maps, Bengaluru, India
An engineer by training, an industrial designer by craft, and for fourteen years the person who makes complicated journeys feel simple.
01In one breath
Fourteen years ago I was designing machine parts. Today I design how people find their way: landmarks instead of street names, voice instead of typing, answers instead of search results. Built for India first, and for everyone after.
I trained as a mechanical engineer, then did a master’s in industrial design — so I still think in systems, materials and the feel of a thing in the hand. At Google Maps I work on Ask Maps, navigation and voice: the moments where people are moving, distracted, and need the right answer right now.

03The route so far
Learned how things are made, and why they fail.
A master’s that taught me to design for hands and habits, not just specs.
[What you started, and what it taught you about shipping.]
From screens to systems: teams, roadmaps and the bets behind them.
Ask Maps, navigation and voice, built for India first.
